The OptimizeD Coaching Skills program is intended to develop the coaching and communication skills of employees, thus equipping them to have more fulsome, fearless and productive conversations with their direct reports, teams, colleagues and customers. At its very essence, the OptimizeD Coaching Skills program will bring value to those who aspire to be better leaders, managers and strategists, and who hold the work of leading and developing others close to their heart.

OptimizeD Coaching Skills is rooted in systems thinking and positive psychology. Participants learn the powerful OptimizeD model providing them with a proven framework for orienting and navigating coach-like conversations. The model utilizes a five-phase cycle of inquiry that begins with the end in mind and then reliably traverses the gap between current state and desired future state.

OptimizeD Coaching Skills includes an overview of systems thinking and its invaluable contribution to strategic management and organizational development. Systems are the natural way the world works and participants will gain immediate value in terms of how they think, plan and act. This is followed by a deep dive into the concept of coaching presence, a mindset grounded in intention and a willingness to serve the development and success of others. Values, mental models and beliefs will be examined for their power to hinder or enhance progress. The program then shifts to introduce and practice seven essential coaching skills, including focused listening and skillful inquiry. Participants will practice leveraging the 5 OptimizeD questions that foster clarity in terms of desired outcomes and effective action.

The power of coaching is something that must be experienced. Both the Primer and Intensive program provide learners with ample opportunity to practice their new coaching skills. Post program mentor coaching is available as needed.
